We strongly believe that people’s stories are the best kind of fuel for character education. We’ve got several categories of narrative (i.e. personal stories of character growth, development, challenge or opportunity) in which we are interested, and which we think might be of use to you. We are constructing this section of the site so please be patient - and please contribute your story to us. Use our contacts page to let us know if there's a positive narrative you can give us.

Below is a summary of the kinds of content we're interested in. You can use the links to the left to select from the bullets below.

Teachers’ narratives
  • about successes in teaching
  • about positive surprises by young people achieving
Students’ narratives
  • about times they’ve positively surprised themselves
  • of appreciation for adult contributions to their lives
Parents’ narratives
  • of overcoming doubt or difficulty as parents
  • of respect and gratitude for schools and teachers
Historical narratives
  • from biographies and autobiographies
  • in the form of summarised historical examples
We hope all these examples have the power to aid, inspire and affirm, for both teachers and students. Please join us in sharing your stories.
